Troubleshooting

Welcome to our support and services center. We know that our 3D glasses-free products are a completely new experience and that you might need some assistance in learning about our products features and capabilities. You can find your needed support here through our video tutorials and software & user manuals that you can download. Below are some issues you might be facing and instructions on how to troubleshoot.
1. Cannot get face tracking to start when activating 3D Player or 3D Control Tool.

2. Cannot finish installation procedure for Liquid3D Software Installer Application.

3. There is no sound when playing back a video using the 3D monitor.
4. I'm running the 3D monitor with my laptop and 3D display mode can turn on, but it does not look correct.
5. The 3D effect does not look right when playing back my 3D video or image.

 

1. Cannot get face tracking to start when activating 3D Player or 3D Control Tool.

During the installation procedure there should be a pop-up box that requests you to install the 3D Monitor driver. If you did not see this pop-up box, then Windows should still have started the prompting of the driver installation. You should be able to find it in the bottom toolbar of the running applications bar (see screenshot below). Select it and continue with installation.

2. Cannot finish installation procedure for Liquid3D Software Installer Application.

1.Check that your USB cable is plugged into the right USB port on the monitor. It should be connected to the USB port labeled "3D-IN".

 

2.Remove the USB cable from either the 3D monitor or your PC and Insert again. Wait 3 seconds and try to activate the 3D Player again.

 

3.Check that there is only 1 instance of 3D Player or 3D Control Tool application started at one time. You can check this in Windows Task Manager under the "Processes" tab.

 

4.Run the 3D Player or 3D Control Tool as "Administrator". You can do this by right clicking on the application icon on your desktop and find "Run as Administrator" in the select box.

 

5.If all of the above fails, then please run any webcam application with the 3D monitor camera (name is Liquid3D Camera) and see if the camera is working correctly. If it is not working please contact us directly or the distributor in which you purchased the product with a description of your problem.

3. There is no sound when playing back a video using the 3D monitor.

If you are using an HDMI cable to connect to the 3D monitor, then it should be noted that the monitor does not have any built-in speakers. The sound in your video will need to be played back on your PC or laptop. Kindly follow the below troubleshooting steps.

 

1.Find the sound settings for your PC / laptop. If your PC contains a discrete graphic processor, then the sound settings should be found in the NVidia or AMD graphic setting console.

 

2.Look for the Sound setting and turn off "HDMI sound".

 

3.When you play your 3D video it should now play sound from your PC / Laptop speakers.

4. I'm running the 3D monitor with my laptop and 3D display mode can turn on, but it does not look correct.

What’s most likely causing the issue is that you are running the 3D monitor in duplicate screen mode, and your laptop display does not support full HD resolution (1920 x 1080).  In order for the 3D effect to work properly the resolution of the monitor needs to be set by your laptop to be full HD.  To solve this issue you will have to run the 3D monitor in single screen mode rather than duplicate screen mode from your laptop.

5. The 3D effect does not look right when playing back my 3D video or image.

There could be multiple reasons for this issue. To troubleshoot please follow the following steps.

 

1.Check that your 3D content is indeed side-by-side format. If it is not then we apologize, as we will not be able to support your content at this time. We plan on supporting more 3D stereo formats soon through updates in our software.

 

2.Press the button in the 3D Control Tool or 3D Player (located in bottom right hand corner). This will reverse the left/right images in your 3D side-by-side content.

 

3.Use the Liquid3D Quality Adjustment Tool. You can download this tool from our download page. As every person's set of eyes is slightly different distances apart, you may use the quality adjustment tool to personalize the 3D monitor's 3D effect to your eyes.
